06:55 pm - New favorite beverage.
Well, favorite beverage after coffee. Susan introduced me to Lindeman's Cassis last night. If beer was capable of emotions, I believe this one would be my soul mate. 
Lindeman's Cassis is a Lambic (with which I was not too terribly familiar). It is Fruity, sugary, funky, and tart. I love the sourness that is a lambic beer.
06:26 pm - Con's Halloween
Connor went to a dance at his school Friday night with a girl named Taylor. This is the same Taylor he went trick or treating with last year. She is adorable, funny, and nice to my kid, so I dig her.
Con is a stunner, that is a given. However, most of his life he has not understood how beautiful he is. The past couple of years, he has been starting to get it. Girls have been throwing themselves at him. I am grateful that it freaks him out they are behaving in such a way at this age.
When I dropped Con and Taylor off at his school Friday night, I was amused at all the necks breaking to get a look at them. Taylor is, for lack of a more appropriate word, the Hot Girl.
However, this also means that any girl that had not previously taken notice of Con because of his pooptacular social skills is now going to be giving him a second look. *sigh*
Interestingly, Con was not just enamored of Taylor, but was noticing two other girls at his school. Also, he texts with a girl that he met at his volunteer job with Herman Park last year. We have careened straight into girl crazy mode. We are going to have to keep an eye on him and keep the lines of communication wide open and constantly flowing. Luckily, he has always been really open with us about girls. I assume we're doing something right and hope we can continue to do so.

I had never actually seen the whole "Night of The Living Dead" before. I had seen clips, but not the whole thing. While I was at work Friday, I pulled up that and "White Zombie" on youtube and watched/ listened while I worked. I got a lot done and saw two movies I needed to see but never have.

03:55 pm - I love Halloween
*sigh* Halloween is over. We managed to not have any candy in the house before, during, or after the holiday. Last weekend, I went to a big holiday bash at the Doubletree. The bash was fun and the after party was in mine and Susan's suite.
Friday night I went to another party with Susan and Nikki and wore my costume for the second and last time. That bitch is getting sold or traded. I never want to wear those stupid fishnets again.
Last night, we had a party at Susan's midtown loft. We did a games/ scary movie night. We never did get to the movie, Paranormal Activity, but we had a FABULOUS night drinking and playing The Game of Things. I heart that game so much.
